2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive from Google's OAuth service:

• Your name and email address
• Your Google profile picture (avatar)
• A unique Google user ID used to identify your account

We do not receive or store your Google account password.

2.2 Project and Workspace Data

To provide the service, we store the data you enter into Indepagent, including:

• Project details: names, client names, statuses, descriptions, timelines, budgets
• Tasks, notes, meeting summaries, and AI-generated recommendations
• Contact information for clients and collaborators you add
• Materials, commissions, and financial records you enter
• Documents, design plans, and sketches you upload or link

2.3 Google Workspace Integration Data

If you connect Google Drive or Google Calendar, we access (with your explicit permission) only the specific files and calendar events you choose to integrate. We do not access, read, or store any Google Drive or Calendar data beyond what you explicitly authorize for use within a project.

2.4 WhatsApp Integration Data

If you enable the WhatsApp integration, messages exchanged through the integration are processed to extract task-relevant content and meeting summaries. We do not retain raw WhatsApp message content beyond the structured data we extract and present within your workspace.

2.5 Usage and Technical Data

We may collect basic technical data to operate and improve the service:

• Browser type and operating system
• IP address (used for security and rate-limiting)
• Session timestamps and feature usage patterns
• Error logs and crash reports

We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell usage data.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the service — storing your projects, syncing data, and displaying your workspace
• AI features — generating recommendations, task summaries, and insights based on your project data using AI models; your data is processed as part of AI inference and is not used to train third-party models
• Authentication — verifying your identity through Google OAuth on each login
• Security — detecting abuse, preventing unauthorized access, and protecting your data
• Service improvements — analyzing aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to improve features
• Support — responding to your inquiries and resolving issues

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers — trusted infrastructure vendors (cloud hosting, database) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements
• AI processing — AI model providers process your project text to generate recommendations; this is governed by their data processing agreements and your data is not used for model training
• Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred; you will be notified in advance

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes).

You may request deletion of specific project data at any time through the app settings or by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted storage for sensitive credentials and tokens
• Access controls limiting who within our team can access production data
• Regular security reviews

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

7. Google API Services

Indepagent's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve features directly requested by you within the application.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability — request your project data in a portable format
• Objection — object to certain types of processing
• Withdrawal of consent — revoke Google OAuth access at any time via your Google Account permissions

9. Cookies and Local Storage

Indepagent uses browser local storage and session cookies solely for:

• Maintaining your authenticated session
• Remembering your preferences (theme, language)
• Caching project data for offline-ready access

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

Indepagent is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in servers located outside your country. Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of Indepagent after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
